> The Relais de Margaux has a new chef, an extension, an 18-hole golf course, and a balneotherapy centre.

A new chef
Laurent Costes arrived at the Relais de Margaux at the beginning of the year. This former student of Jacques Maximin at the Negresco in Nice has also worked at the Montfleury in Cannes. Now at the Relais de Margaux, he combines culinary tradition with creativity in excellent cuisine. |
Extension
The Relais de Margaux has increased its capacity:
- one function room has been extended to a total of 220 m². With its superb veranda, it is an ideal location for meetings and banquets.
- another function room has been divided into two for greater flexibility.
There are now a total of nine reception rooms, seating 2-200 people for business seminars or meetings.
The hotel is also being extended. By the end of June, 37 rooms will be added to the existing 63, including 6 junior suites with views of the golf course and 31 "Harmonies" rooms.
An 18-hole golf course
The Relais de Margaux is creating its own 45-hectare, 18-hole golf course, as well as a brasserie. The golf course will open in late 2005 or early 2006 to hotel guests and other golfers. The brasserie will open in summer 2005.
Construction of a Balneotherapy Centre
The Relais de Margaux will offer well-being for body and mind in summer 2005.

> Coproductions and Les Ortigues : creativity and professionalism.
Les Ortigues, the event specialists, have started working with Anne-Marie Moulinier at Coproductions, to enhance their expertise in scene-setting and decoration. "Event organisers are increasingly attentive to décor at their special events", explains Philippe Rondot, CEO of Les Ortigues.
"Our cooperation with Anne-Marie Moulinier enables us to combine creativity and professionalism". |
Exhibits, setting up incentives, and interior design are only a few examples of what Les Ortigues and Coproductions have to offer. Their references in event organising include the Siemens conference at the Bordeaux Conference Centre.
"Anne-Marie Moulinier was the key mover in this project: the venue design was magnificent". The decoration of Freever's new head office in the heart of the Paris business district also illustrates their ambition to export the expertise of these two companies "outside Bordeaux". Anne-Marie Moulinier is an expert in lettering. A former student at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, she is an artist with an acutely pragmatic sense of her field. She has worked for numerous companies: Aéroport de Bordeaux, CAPC, Grand Théâtre, Bibliothèque de Bordeaux, local businesses and groups throughout France, etc. Her philosophy, character, light, delicacy, and elegance, is reflected in all her projects.

> New exhibition hall : 12,000 m² more space
The amazingly spacious Hall 3 at the Exhibition Centre will open on 19th June for Vinexpo.
Hall 3 (Bordeaux Exhibition Centre already has two buildings) has a total surface area of 12,000m² comprising 6,000 m² of exhibition space and 450 m² of modular conference rooms. The size is all the more surprising as the architect, Christophe Gauthier from Flint Architectes, designed it in a single span, with no pillars.
State-of-the-art air conditioning
The ultra-modern air-conditioning system is remarkable, as are the 10-metre high ceiling and a red wall which will change colour as the natural light moves across it.
Another innovative extension will open in late March 2005. At the Bordeaux International Fair, a total of 8,000 m² will be devoted to agriculture. The sides of the building open like huge doors, giving access to large vehicles or animals.
