> New at Château du Pian: a manor house for your receptions
The superb Château du Pian opened a large function room and two committee rooms on March 1st.

This former wine estate is located in Bouliac, less than 10 kilometers from Bordeaux city centre and the Bordeaux-Lac district. The château cellars, opposite the main château, have been entirely transformed into a manor house providing an ideal, comfortable venue for event organizers. A private, secure car park for up to 200-vehicles is very close-by.
Quality service all day long
The manor house function room has a capacity of 430 people and each of the two committee rooms can seat 40. Conference equipment (paperboards, overhead projectors etc.) is available on request, as well as high-speed Internet access (Wifi terminal). |
The manor house also has an ultra-modern catering station. The château, a member of the "Châteaux et Hôtels de France" chain, has eight perfectly comfortable luxury suites with antique furniture.

> Bordeaux fête
le vin - Bordeaux Wine Festival
Between July 1st and the 4th, Bordeaux will be holding a Wine Festival - four days in which to enjoy wine with friends. A Pass Dégustation (Tasting Pass) will enable you to discover the best wines of Bordeaux and the Aquitaine region.
Furthermore, the Pass Découverte (Discovery Pass) will introduce you to the Gironde region, enabling you to visit châteaux and some of the most famous vineyards in the world. The festival will also feature a full program of cultural events and entertainment, including the Défilé des Confréries (procession of vinous brotherhoods), the Bacchus Parade, a Giant Banquet, barrel-rolling races, and a fireworks display!
As always, thousands of visitors are expected. They are sure to appreciate the relaxing atmosphere while enjoying high-quality regional products.

The Kyriad Prestige*** in Bordeaux-Mérignac was enlarged and modernized at the end of March. This 3-star hotel now offers 26 "executive" rooms.
Business travelers will find all they require, such as ADSL Internet access, LCD television screen, a 160 X 200 bed, and a large desk. There is a total of 75 rooms. |
More than just a hotel, a place to work
Nine new modular multi-purpose rooms accommodating 10-200 people have also been opened. Each room is equipped with a modern sound system and video projectors. The Kyriad Prestige*** also has a business centre and a new swimming pool.
The hotel is in an excellent location: a stone's throw from Bordeaux international airport and the Médoc, 25 minutes from the Atlantic ocean, close to the Bordeaux-Lac Convention Centre, and 15 minutes from Bordeaux city centre.

> Relaxation and wine appreciation at Grand Barrail
Two new buildings have been added to Château Grand Barrail: the Maison du Bien-Être (Health Centre) and the Maison du Vignoble (Wine School). There are 42 rooms, including 9 suites, surrounded by immense grounds.
Guests can enjoy a relaxing time as well the opportunity to increase their wine knowledge in a unique setting on the right bank of the Garonne.

The Maison du Bien-Être has four areas:
> a solarium
> a fitness room
> a relaxation area with sauna, Turkish bath, rasoul, Jacuzzi, and ice fountain.
> four treatment rooms with Ligne StBarth cosmetics, as well as natural tropical fruit and vegetable-based products. Treatments are adapted to each person's skin type.

L'Académie de Dégustation (Tasting Academy) - this wine school offers tailor-made programs for groups and individuals (minimum two people). Events include introduction to wine tasting, tours of estates, activities in vineyards and cellars, and wine theme evenings.
Saint-Emilion Excellence also informs us that they launched corporate gift vouchers in April, offering wine weekends and holidays organized by the Tasting Academy and Loïc Siri.
