Château d'Agassac wins the 2012 International Best of Wine Tourism award in the category "Conference & convention facilities"

This award was announced during the gala dinner organized by the Great Wine Capitals Global Network in Mainz. Located near the village of Ludon, close to Bordeaux, the domain of Agassac is one of the oldest wine estates in the Médoc.

Surrounded by its vineyard and magnificent grounds, this remarkable site provides seminar and reception rooms inside the château itself. There is also an extensive reception hall located in the cellars, which looks out onto the barrel cellar. The two-hectar park provides sufficient space for large gatherings and events. The moat, the ancient stone dovecote and other historic buildings make this an exceptional site, which is also adaptable and equipped with the largest technology.

The best Of Wine Tourism competition is organised by cities belonging to the Great Wine Capitals Global Network. On a local level, each member puts forth one candidate per category. The competition then becomes worldwide for the international awards competition. The awards ceremony takes place during the network's General meeting. The network was initiated in 1999 by the Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
