EMF Bordeaux Event - European conference on electromagnetic fields
From 26 to 29 May 2010, Bordeaux hosted "EMF Bordeaux Event", a European conference for bioelectromagnetics specialists. The BGCB assisted Isabelle Lagroye, President of the local organizing committee for "EMF Bordeaux Event", in making the arrangements for this conference, which has been held at the Ibis hotel in Bordeaux-Mériadeck.
"EMF Bordeaux Event" has been preceded, on 24 and 25 May, by the International Advisory Committee of the World Health Organization, in the context of the "International EMF Project" program.
Representatives of 65 countries (developed, emerging, and developing nations), as well as officials from WHO headquarters, in Geneva, were present in Bordeaux for this meeting.
The 4-day meeting focused on three topics:
-what basic limits should be established for radiofrequency exposure
-research strategies related to new radiofrequency technologies.
-medical applications for electromagnetic fields.
