A step back to the old times at Château d'Agassac
This day is jointly organized by Agence des Grands Crus and Château d'Agassac, Haut Médoc. Let's become actors! Let's play a role in various entertaining and cheerful epoch activities.
Afternoon:
Greeting at Château d'Agassac, Haut Médoc, located within 15 minutes of Bordeaux.
Let's discover one of the oldest wine estates with entertaining activities followed by a dinner on the Medieval or Renaissance theme.
According to a roman inscription found in its underground, the castle
was built during the XIth century. Agassac, castle of myths and legends, should satisfy the curiosity of the visitors as well as the wine connoisseurs looking for "high expression" wine.
In small groups, you will participate to 3 different entertaining activities ran by professionals. Each activity will last around 1 hour and 1 hour and half on the Medieval and Renaissance theme.
Period dancing:
- Explanation on the dancing techniques
- Initiation
- Demonstration
Period fencing:
- Presentation of the weapons
- Explanation on the combat techniques
- Initiation to the art of the sword handling
Jugglery:
- Presentation of the juggling accessories
- Juggling initiation
- Demonstration by the professionals
At the end of the afternoon, a guided tour of the wine estate will plunge you back into the winemaking history from its origins to nowadays. From the work in the vines to the bottling, you will understand the know-hows that once regulated the life in the Château Agassac and still do today
At the end of the visit, you will be invited to a commented wine tasting.
Professionals will perform around you to liven up this entertaining time.
A period buffet will come to end this day. You will plunge into this ancient art of living, when eating showed the power and the influence you had over your subjects. You will then discover the former codes and rites.
This proposal remains valid from 30 to 70 people
This program includes :
