About us
Founded in May 1991, the Bordeaux Gironde Convention Bureau is a nonprofit organisation composed of local government agencies, professional organisations, tourist boards, and private businesses whose activity revolves around business tourism in Bordeaux.
Partners of the Convention Bureau are:
- Local government bodies: the City of Bordeaux, the Bordeaux Urban Community.
- Professional organisations: the New Investors Office, the Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the CIVB Bordeaux Wine Council,
- Tourist boards: the Gironde Department Tourist Board, Bordeaux Tourist office, Lege Cap-ferret Tourist office and Entre Deux Mers Tourist office .
The private companies belonging to the BGCB propose quality venues (exhibition centres and convention centres, hotels, function rooms, meeting rooms, reception areas, and châteaux), conference organisers and service providers adapted to business tourism.
The BGCB has an annual budget of approximately 360,000 euros, financed equally by subsidies and fees paid by professional members.
